THE CARLISLE WAY
Sustainability
We are proud to have recently undertaken a regenerative garden project in an unused area of the racecourse. During the Spring months, the team worked hard to plant various herbs, fruits and vegetables including Rosemary, sage, thyme, swede, turnip, kale, gooseberries, raspberries, and blackcurrants which will be used in our menu's across the season.
Our Community
Alongside a busy racing and C&E calendar, the team at Carlisle dedicate their time to charitable work in the local community. This includes cooking a delicious meal in Hebron Church at various times throughout the year for people who are in need of a warm meal.
Did You Know?
Racing at Carlisle was first recorded way back in 1559 at The Swift's (the racing venue prior to that used today) during the second year of Queen Elizabeth I’s reign.
